Destiny Tabernacle International Ministries was birthed in 2006 in obedience to the vision given to our shepherd and founder, Pastor Jamelle McKenzie in 2004 for Adullam Ministries. God showed pastor His desire for a 24 hour church that would never close its doors with a prayer chapel and emergency housing. He instructed her to begin in Henry County and eventually take this ministry beyond the four walls and geographic boundaries, to the nations.

Destiny started officially on Sunday October 15, 2006 with less than 24 adults that loved God and were led to follow Him through this ministry. Of that original group more than half remain active and involved in the ministry and are “on fire” for God ministering and making a difference in the lives of God’s people everywhere.

In the first three years Destiny has truly operated as a Tabernacle in terms of our locations. We began in the clubhouse at the Wynngate subdivision, then we worshipped at the Merle Manders Conference Center. From there we met at 115 Tait Road for a few weeks until the Lord opened a door for us at 149 Burke Street. We are assured that even now we are not in our final location for the Lord has shown us that this is just a seed that has been planted and there are many more to be sown. So the Tabernacle continues to move on.

The Word of God specifically states that without a vision the people perish. Destiny Tabernacle has a purpose, a plan, a vision and a mission. We believe we have been placed in the Kingdom of God at such a strategic time as this to Equip the Army of God. God has given our pastor and our members the responsibility of empowering people to live the Will of God regardless of their economic, social, educational, or ethnic status or standing. We have been called of the “ecclesia” of the living God to minister to the whole person, spiritual, physical mental, financial and social. To prepare a holy people a people not influenced by negative forces but rather influenced by the power and ability of God. To build up the inner man to realize that he truly is the “image of God”.

We have been called to all people, including persons who have been disadvantaged by society, ostracized by organized religion, rejected and even abandoned, those who are struggling, and to not only bring them to hope but to see the fulfillment of that hope.
